FAQ
It is exceptionally cheaper to own your water heater. However, in Ontario, most of our beloved customers rent their water heaters due to the fact that you will not have to worry about services once you rent as the rental companies will take care of all the parts and labor services for free of charge.
There are many rental companies available in Ontario, and customers should choose the most reliable one for themselves. Prior to decision, you should conduct some research and clarify the terms and conditions of the company that sparks your interest. Reliance Home Comfort and Enercare are two of the biggest water heater rental companies available in Ontario. Both strive for excellence and provide professional services. However, Enercare has a 15 years contract, where if a customer plans to cancel it within the 15 years, they must pay a certain penalty, which is quite expensive. Reliance is the only company in which does not include a term. Customers may remove their water heater at any time. At Gas Pro, we promise to install or repair within a maximum of 2 days after you contact us. New customers will receive their first 6 months rental fee free of charge as well as a $100 gift card.
- A tankless water heater saves you money over time, because it’s high efficiency, more than 92%, and a water heater is less than 70% efficiency.
- They require significantly less storage space than a water heater.
- You’ll have unlimited hot water whenever you need it.
- You will have more than enough hot water for multiple showers and appliances to run simultaneously.
Based on the manufacturer’s suggested service life, the life expectancy of a water heater is about 8 to 12 years. When you feel as if the hot water in your home is limited, rusty/ not clear, or leaking, it is time to replace your water heater and give us a call.
- Faulty ignitors can be caused by dirt and grime buildup due to lack of maintenance.
- A bad thermostat will prevent your furnace from effectively heating your home, as it will not be able to call for heating when needed.
- Faulty flame sensors can cause fuel to burn improperly, which is unsafe for your family. When the flame sensor is bad, the furnace can shut down.
- Replacing a furnace motor or mainboard is costly, and may require parts to be ordered.
- Filter is too dirty, and air cannot go through. It might cause no heat.
- Condensing tube is blocked, or the outside venting is blocked by snow or ice, furnace can shut down.
Your best defense against future furnace repairs is to properly maintain your heating system! Preventative maintenance performed annually by a heating technician works to catch performance issues and correct them before they lead to breakdowns or system damage. This tune-up cares for essential components to reduce wear and tear that causes system failures. The tasks performed by your furnace technician during preventative maintenance work to protect against breakdowns while improving energy efficiency and home comfort. Also changing filter frequently.
A rough calculation would be the square footage of your home times 0.3. This will give you a rough approximation. A more accurate calculation can be made by determining the amount of heat loss your home experiences and then choosing a furnace to compensate for said loss
There are several reasons your air conditioner is making noise. It all depends on the noise. Is it a banging sound? There may be a loose or broken part. Is it buzzing? There may be some debris that needs to be cleaned out.
If you hear any unusual sounds coming from your air conditioner, have a professional diagnose the problem and make the repairs.
Nearly all air conditioner freeze ups are caused by either a lack of refrigerant, or a lack of air flow to the evaporator coils. If your air conditioner is freezing up, the first thing you should do is turn it off. If you continue to run it, the compressor could be damaged. Unfortunately, fixing this air conditioner problem correctly is not just a matter of refilling the refrigerant. Technician needs to find the leaks and repair the holes in the lines, or replace the coil, which can sometimes be a time-consuming and expensive process, especially when there are multiple leaks.
